Best and Worst Dressed at Coachella- Weekend One

Year upon year, I DIE of jealousy as I flick through the images of stunningly beautiful and stupidly thin celebs as they soak up the sun, top up their tans, attend pool parties, drink themselves silly and most importantly listen to the music at Coachella's annual festival. This year turned me just as green with envy, and here's my pick of the best and worst dressed throughout last weekend. If anyone fancies taking me to Coachella next year, I'm free?! (jus' sayin)

Best Dressed

Kendall Jenner
oh man, girl crush alert. I love this black lace outfit Kardashian sister Kendall Jenner wore last weekend. Dark boho at it's best, I loved her facial jewellery too. Can I have a lick of yo' ice lolly?

Katy Perry (and Alexander Wang)
So 3-D glasses are now an accessory?! I'm in. Katy Perry looks effortlessly cool with Alexander Wang (squeal!) as she combined sporty chic in this black ensemble with some fab green dip-dye. Love you Katy!

Selena Gomez
Lace, lace everywhere and I love it! Selena was hanging around buds Kendall and Kylie at the festival and stood out in her beautifully embroidered lace dress with shorts and crop top underneath. Combining the look with a floppy hat completes the perfect festival look. I tip my own hat to you Miss Gomez.

Poppy Delevingne
If anyone would have been happy this weekend it would have been Poppy Delevingne (middle)as she celebrated both her engagement, and the fact that she is generally fabulous. Killer bod plus black two-piece plus embarassingly tropical sunglasses equals pure joy. Go Poppy!

Emma Roberts
Actress Emma Roberts won the award for most exciting vest at Coachella- I love this banana ribcage-esque tee with classic denim hot pants and some oversized sunnies. Does Evan come with the outfit, because I'm totally going to buy it if he does...

Worst Dressed

Laura Whitmore
Is that Pixie Lott?! oh no wait it's just Laura Whitmore. This look has been done before, and this outfit almost lulled me to sleep. Lace is fun, but not on a cream shirt and those patterned shorts are dire. Killer pins though, wowza.

Emmy Rossum
There's boho chic, then there's parachute. I'm not keen on this semi-sheer blue maxi dress and I felt the white floral headband was a bit much, I totally thought we got rid of them last year?! Soz Emmy.

Hilary Duff
No nooooo, how are boots and shorts acceptable, I could have sworn these celebs had stylists? The scarf totally contradicts the shorts and those insipid heeled boots do nothing for the outfit. Step away everyone, it's a lost cause.

Katy Perry
It's always annoying when sunburnt skin ruins an outfit, and unfortunately for Katy, just that happened. Her rag, I mean, two piece clashed with her pink hue and the double split in her skirt is pretty unflattering. What happened Katy?!

Ellie Goulding
Bondage springs to mind. Is Ellie Goulding wearing a seatbelt or is this some kind of joke? I don't know about you but I would totally pull down that awkward zip on her shorts down, just for giggles.

Best and Worst Dressed at the Oscars 2014

Best Dressed

Cate Blanchett
As well as picking up that coveted best actress award on Sunday, Blanchett won my prize for best dressed in this exquisite nude Armani PrivĂ© gown complete with intricate embellishments. Her subtle Hollywood curls and minimal jewellery do nothing to offset the beautiful dress.

Jennifer Lawrence
I was slightly disappointed with Lawrence's rouge gown during the ceremony, with it's out of date peplum and trip-worthy length, her mirrored mini was a much better option. Opting for Tom Ford, this glittery dress with skinny stilettos and a loose quiff finish off her look beautifully.

Kate Hudson
Miss Hudson looked ravishing in this flowing Versace piece. I loved the spiked shoulders complete with embellishments and a deep V that meet with a gathering of the rich material at her waist.

Charlize Theron
I am a massive fan of the nude straps on this Dior gown worn by Charlize Theron on the red carpet. The top half compliments her slim figure and progresses into a chunky chiffon section before the train presents thin black panels.

Emma Watson
As English rose Emma Watson gets older, her fashion sense just gets better and better. This Vera Wang piece is stunning with chain mail-esque sleeveless top that stands boldly joined to the black glittery bottom half. She finishes off her look with dramatic rouge, a metallic clutch and several chunky silver rings. Perfect.

Emma Roberts
There was a severe lack of dramatic colour on the red carpet at the weekend so I was really excited when I saw Emma Roberts tulip shaped dress with slash neck at the Vanity Fair party. The silky geometric patterning is subtle and sophisticated and I loved her matching skinny stilettos and glittered solid clutch.

Brangelina
My Brangelina obsession seems to augment each time I see them on the red carpet, and the Oscars was no exception. Metallic being an ever-present this season, Jolie's dress was a visual delight. Sparkling in front of the lens, the subtle chiffon sections juxtapose the gathered stalagmite and stalactite-esque encrusted shapes on the gown- beautiful.

Sarah Paulson
American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson opted for an understated pale bronze encrusted floor-length piece. With subtle floral patterns and a metallic clutch bag to compliment the dress, Paulson truly shone.

Kelly Osbourne
It still baffles me to see someone like Kelly Osbourne on the red carpet at the weekend, however her choice of dress was spot on. Taking a simple strapless, almost dull white gown and adding a sheer and metallic drape gave the outfit volume and charm, thumbs up Kelly.

Sandra Bullock
A wrap dress can sometimes look dull but Bullock's midnight blue dress with flowing train, side curls and dark eyes give her a mystical, almost ethereal look.

Jenna Dewan
Intricacy is displayed at it's greatest here with Dewan in this Reem Acra creation. Beading and feathering create a fabulous combination and the slate grey is an elegant colour to opt for.

Worst Dressed

Anna Kendrick
Oh dear, oh dear. Anna Kendrick's multi-layered black gown with diagonal strip did not flatter the actress,. Although I like the way she matched her nails, mid-section and clutch, the look was too dark.

Kristen Bell
Cavalli fell flat for me as Kristen Bell looked stiff and almost slightly plump in this dull gown. The bottom half of the dress looked more like a lettuce that has been drained of colour than a sophisticated creation.

Liza Minelli
Wow, what a disaster. Matching her god-awful electric blue satin two piece, Minelli even incorporated a garish blue streak to complete her fashion fatality. Its burning my eyes.

Pharrell Williams
Making his second fashion faux pas of the season, it was bizarre that Williams opted for shorts instead of trousers. Perhaps someone should remind him he is at the Oscars, not the beach?!

Jared Leto
So many Hollywood hunks sizzled on the red carpet but Leto's monochrome Saint Laurent tuxedo failed to impress me. Why pick a red bow tie?

Elsa Pataky
The beautiful Elsa Pataky wore a turquoise embellished gown that made her look ludicrous.Almost as bad as Kim K's sofa dress I must say...

Best and Worst Dressed at the Golden Globes 2014

Award season is well and truly here and last night the biggest and most beautiful stars were celebrating their talent in style at the Golden Globes. Let's take a look at the hits and misses on the red carpet.

Best Dressed

Emma Watson

What do you do when you can't make that painstaking choice between cigarette trousers and a deep red gown? You combine the two to create this stunning Dior ensemble English rose Emma Watson wore on the red carpet last night. Combining the look with slim midnight blue stilettos and a subtle low bun, the actress looked effortless.

Amy Adams

Red was definitely a shade I was lusting after last night as fiery-haired actress Amy Adams opted for the same foxy tone as Watson. The plunging V-neck in deep maroon that led into a vibrant rouge suited her fair complection however I would have loved to have seen her hair in some loose waves. Either way a stunning piece.

Emma Roberts

In the height of its third season, American Horror Story actress and the newly engaged Emma Roberts topped her current success by looking effortlessly chic in her LBD accompanied by intricate oversized turquoise earrings. Accentuating her features in all the right places and with scraped-back hair that allowed all eyes to be on that dress, I thought it was one of the most striking looks of the night.

Margot Robbie

Emerging Australian actress Margot Robbie can do no wrong lately as her pieces for The Wolf of Wall Street premieres measured up to this stunning white Gucci gown. Jewel embellishments around the waist and sleeves flattered her svelte figure and those cheeky emerald heels add a splash of colour to her ethereal look. Top marks Margot!

Jennifer Lawrence
This lady has had a fabulous few months in fashion with an immense amount of successful pieces she donned during the world tour promotion of The Hunger Games Catching Fire. The most anticipated star of the night didn't disappoint in Dior as she embraced monochrome in this prom dress-esque sleeveless piece. Her deep rouge and oceanic earrings brought a fabulous contrast and finished off her look perfectly. You can do no wrong J- Law.

Julie Bowen

Velvet has been in for quite a while on the high street, and I was wondering when it might infiltrate the red carpet. Bowen demonstrated the right way to wear the fabric with this simple two-tone dress complete with belt and puffed 80s-style sleeves. That plum bottom half is to die for.

Kate Beckinsale

I'm not usually a fan of the metallic, but this shining piece would make a magpie foam at the mouth. Beckinsale combined the dress with minimal accessories, a plain black clutch and a messy up do- less is definitely more.

Amelia Clarke
The name Proenza Schouler might not be as prominent as Dior and Oscar De La Renta when it comes to red carpet fashion, but I would note it down. The mini mosaic monochrome print on the dress incorporated translucent panelling and a sophisticated front split. Perfection.

Julianna Margulies

Black dresses are the easiest way to make an impact whilst looking effortlessly gorgeous, suitably demonstrated here by Margulies whose black floor length gown becomes encapsulating at the shoulders and foot of the dress where gold coral-esque embellishments spread and progress.

Amber Heard
Johnny Depp's newest beau made an Angelina-esque impact on the red carpet in this midnight blue silk Atelier dress. Her loose and volumous quiff with smokey eyes would make anyone swoon. Fabulous job Amber!

Worst Dressed

Tina Fey

Fey is never too far from my worst dressed list, and I thought this gown was up there as one of her most dire. Curvaceous figures are fabulous but accentuating them further as demonstrated below is anything but flattering. Pink is a dangerous colour and just doesn't work here.

Zoe Saldana

My relationship with partially sheer pieces went from a slight dislike to a clinical loathing after seeing this piece worn by Saldana last night. Baby pink and black are colours only seen in the likes of Ann Summers, and those off-shoulder straps give me palpitations. WHY!

Uma Thurman

Two pieces are increasingly popular in high fashion and even though we are often encouraged to experiment with varying prints, this dress is a perfect demonstration of a clothing calamity. Slate grey silk combined with a black 90s-style high neck makes for a puzzling composition.

Mila Kunis
I usually love Kunis' style but this Gucci piece looks as if it should have been thrown away with last year's tinsel. Let's just hope she won't go the same way as Miss Longoria, who is now beyond help when it comes to red carpet mishaps.

Aubrey Plaza
Oscar de la Renta's over-simplistic bridesmaid-esque piece worn by Aubrey Plaza did nothing for me. The putrid two-tone silky gown sat uncomfortably on Plaza's figure and her matching pink clutch and purple heels make me want to vom.

Zooey Deschanel
Oh dear maybe I'm just not into Oscar de la Renta because I was sorely disappointed with Zooey's inspid shade and style of her dress. The only redeeming element to her outfit were her intricately embellished shoes which look like they could cause potential damage if she kicked anyone.

Bernice Bejo

Bejo may have made an impact stepping out in this outfit last night, but in a lot of ways I wish she would have faded into the carpet. What looked like a sleeveless blazer with crustacean style embellishments clinging to it composed the top half of the piece with a tatty train that made up the bottom half. More tampon than trendsetting.

Jemima Kirke

Oh maybe Kirke thought the Golden Globes were hippie themed? The beach is the opposite way, love. A boho look is extremely desirable but donning a piece that looks as if it faded in the wash really isn't.

Lena Dunham
Wow, worst dressed of the night goes to this little lady who not only got the colour of her gown wrong, but shape too. The top half of the piece is wonderfully figure-hugging yet swamps her as it reaches into a fat fishtail. My eyes hurt.

Reese Witherspoon
Oh no Calvin Klein, I don't know about you but I would consider wearing this to the gym.. The halter neck and colour are perfect for a workout! Did someone pin Witherspoon down and chemically straighten her hair? The style doesn't suit her at all and I'm assuming those wispy bits at the front are some sort of fringe?
