Worst Dressed at the Teen Choice Awards 2013

Although there were many winners at this year's Teen Choice Awards which were held last night, the red carpet was definitely full of losers in fashion. Let's take little peak at the disastrous outfits that plagued the evening .

Miley Cyrus

Oh Miley.. I know you wanted to change your image, but dominatrix is not in darling. I hate her thin netted top with leather bikini-style bra and her 'skirt' does simply look like an abundance of belts put together. Not cute. I do love her hair though...

I have to admit I am very fussy when it comes to leather and I just don't think twee Demi Lovato suits a rock chick look. I do like her quiff but her boot-heels are formidable and I am not a fan of her frilly blazer.

Oh wow Nelly... what were you thinking? This eggshell tee is pretty vile, is that a diamond.. ON A SKATEBOARD?  WTH. Leather basketball shorts are a no-no and do your shoe laces up.

JWOWW looks more suited to a prom than this fun and funky award show..Her cleavage is almost popping out of the boob-tube she is wearing and I am not keen on the netting hanging from the back of the dress. Sorry Jen.

Stripes are always good, in moderation, but this piece Jordin Sparks donned did not suit her at all, least of all because it finished as a turtle neck. Although it showed off her fabulous figure, I thought the colour was all wrong, and who wants a dress to start where your chin ends??

The Confessions Of My Dream Movie Boyfriend...

So when I was surfing the snazzy Glipho app the other day I came across L.Bel's gliph where she discussed her fictional character crushes. She had some awesome choices which I fully concurred with and I enjoyed reading it so much that I decided to compile my own selection of hunky heartthrobs. Enjoy! 

1. Romeo- Romeo+Juliet 

For me, Shakespeare is a huge weak point. The eloquent language is swoon-worthy and for that reason, the character of Romeo is on my list of dream boyfriends. He has an extremely vulnerable side too and is willing to go against his family for love. Anyone willing to scale a wall to get into your balcony window gets my vote too.

2. Driver- Drive

Ryan Gosling's character in Drive is so cool and collected, he doesn't even have a name. Any man with a bit of mystery is attractive, and the Driver certainly delivers in that sense. He wears the same clothes throughout the film, yet still seems to look impeccably smart. Check out those blue eyes too.

This one is kind of embarrassing, but I have always had a little crush on Michael J.Fox. Demonstrating below his amazing ability to pull off double denim, Marty manages to combine equal amounts of ignorance and intelligence.Someone who has access to a time machine is someone I want to associate myself with.

4. Jason Bourne- The Bourne Trilogy

What do you get if you mix self-defense, intelligence, vulnerability and pretty face? JASON BOURNE. To me, Mr Bourne is in a superior league to James Bond and his amnesia gives him a sensitive side- he even gives the women in his life a pretty good hair cut. How can you resist?!

5. Dave- Kick Ass

By day he is Dave Lizewski, but by night this goofy teen transforms himself into Kick Ass, possibly the most clumsy and humdrum superhero there is. His passion for wanting to help people and his sheer disregard for the dangers he is entering into earns him massive respect from me. What a cutey.

6. Harry Osborn- Spiderman 

I loved the character of Harry Osborn in Spiderman, he is so underrated. The element of his personality that impresses me is his determination. Despite it being an obsession with killing Peter Parker, he is nonetheless a man with ambition. His face isn't too bad either.

7. Chuck Bass- Gossip Girl 

I know this is cheating, but my last dream boyfriend is from CW's Gossip Girl. I LOVE CHUCK BASS. He is suave, sophisticated, playful and has THE most amazing accent. Despite his dark side, his eternal yearning to be with his first love Blair Waldorf is knee-weakening and anyone who can win an argument by simply stating 'I'm Chuck Bass' is pretty much flawless.

Peter Capaldi to Replace Matt Smith as New Doctor Who

I know I am not alone is saying that I will definitely be mourning the loss of Matt Smith as Doctor Who, after he announced he would be leaving the series back in June. But it seems Christmas will be the point where Doctor Who will be handing over his tardis keys to a twelfth replacement.

During a live show that aired on BBC One at 7pm tonight, it was revealed that Peter Capaldi  is to play the new doctor.

Simon Cowell to Become a Father: Expecting Baby With Socialite Lauren Silverman

Music mogul and  man-behind-the- X Factor Simon Cowell is said to be having a baby with New York socialite Lauren Silverman according to The Daily Mail today. 

Cowell was previously friends with Silverman and her husband Andrew (that's right, she's still married) until their marriage broke down just over a year ago and friendship blossomed into romance.

Silverman, 36, is said to be around ten weeks pregnant, and has been reportedly said she wishes to marry Cowell and it will be the socialite's second child after her first during her marriage. The pair have holidayed together a few times, with Lauren being around Cowell a lot in recent years, despite the fact that he was engaged to Mezhgan Hussainy.

Leave Caroline Flack Alone!

Gorgeous television presenter Caroline Flack is not averse to abuse or indeed opinion in regards to her choice of men (or as the Daily Mail prefer, boys), but should her age really be relevant in the case of love?

It has been recently reported that the Xtra Factor host is dating Jack Street, a music manager after they were seen this year attending both Wireless and Glastonbury together as well as flirting on Twitter. Their union however, is not what is interesting the tabloids- it is their age gap of seven years that have whipped the media into a frenzy. I keep asking myself WHY? Flack, at 32 is perfectly within her rights to associate herself with a 25 year-old and the fact that The Daily Mail quoted the relationship as a 'new toyboy romance' disgusts me slightly.

If the tables were turned and Street had been the older party, there would have been nothing to write. Society has a warped image of women having a short shelf-life in the limelight, a sad picture for young girls who look for role-models in celebrities. Luckily Flack seems to have a thick skin after previously dating One Direction member Harry Styles back in 2011, who at the time was fifteen years her junior. 

"It's tough. I did not kill someone. I just went out with someone younger. I have developed thicker skin and become more hardened to it. I don't get as upset as I used to, but I am still human."

The host must have been made to feel unusual and outcast in some way to have got to the point of making this statement, a quote I find hardly surprising after the vicious words of the Daily Mail who claimed " the star maintained there was nothing wrong with dating a younger man" as if it were something illegal or taboo.

She rightly defended herself by saying 

"It’s a social thing that people aren’t accepting of big age gaps. Some people tend to see the negative immediately and that's what I find really strange."

"If two people like each other and get on, why does anyone else find a negative in it? I know it's human nature for everyone to gossip. But why say it's bad? No one's being hurt at all in anyway"

So to the haters, and indeed the Daily Mail, I say leave Caroline Flack alone. Putting emphasis on her age is not just victimisation, but sexism too. 

Sophie Kasaei Axed From Geordie Shore After Racist Comment During Season Seven Filming

Last week it was reported that two female cast members of MTV's Geordie Shore had been suspended from  seventh season after assaulting a teenage girl. This week Sophie Kasaei has been fired from the reality television series altogether after she made a racist slur during filming. 

       

Kasaei was recorded saying  “I hate n*****s" last week and show bosses were informed.  She was said to have been devastated and an investigation has opened to determine what exactly happened. 

A spokesperson for the television channel said 

“After an incident last week, Sophie Kasaei was removed from Geordie Shore pending further investigation into alleged offensive behaviour."

“MTV and Lime Pictures have now taken the decision that it is inappropriate for Sophie to return to the show.

“We will be reiterating to the remaining cast members that offensive behaviour will not be tolerated.”

Geordie Shore Season Seven Filming Stopped After Holly Hagan and Vicky Pattinson are Arrested for Assault

The most successful reality television show on MTV has had to postpone filming due to an alleged assault by stars Vicky Pattison and Holly Hagan. 

Back in Newcastle for the filming of the seventh season, the Geordie Shore gang were on a night out at Florita's bar with a camera crew in tow when a row erupted. 18 year-old model Hannah Kelso was injured when she was hit with a flying stiletto and eyewitnesses say she was left with blood streaming down her face. 

Kelso's facial injury was hospital-worthy and she was said to have received eight stitches. Pattinson and Hagan were arrested on Wednesday but released on bail pending inquiry. A spokesperson for MTV said that filming has been terminated and the footage from the night removed from the show. 

MTV made a statement that the two stars have been suspended from the show for the time being, adding

" We are very disappointed that Holly was arrested by the police but believe in due course she will be given a No Further Action."

According to eye witnesses 

"Gaz and James from the show were at one table and a group of girls at the table next to them.. Vicky got involved in an altercation with the girls at the table and suddenly all hell broke lose."

Kelso's father was devastated when he spoke to the press about Hannah:

 “I want to see this go to court and I do not want anything to jeopardise that. I just hope the police and courts take action.”

There has been no developments as to why the fight broke out. The new series of Geordie Shore starts this Tuesday on MTV.
