How to do Halloween, Celeb Style.

Ahh Halloween, the one day of the year it is totally acceptable to dress as an absolute prat and eat too many sweets. Inspiration can be pretty hard when it comes to creating the most original costumes, but it seems like these celebrities have certainly given us some ideas of how, or how NOT to look.. 


Miley Cyrus

Did you expect anything else from the lovely Miley Cyrus? this year she donned a pink wig and (only just) covered up her modesty in this Lil Kim tribute outfit.

Paris Hilton

Socialite Paris Hilton seemed to have taken her inspiration from fellow celeb Miley Cyrus as she donned the former Disney actress' controversial VMA outfit of a teddy bear leotard. I think 99% of us would give the costume a miss, and thank goodness she doesn't have that dodgy foam finger!

Kelly Brooke

Many of us have attempted to eat cake and dress to make Marie Antionette proud, but I'm not sure anyone can top Kelly Brook's hawt dress- complete with bloodied neck, I love this regal, yet cheeky outfit!

Oh sorry Mariah, you must have got the wrong end of the stick, this ISN'T a Victoria's Secret party and the scariest part of this costume is that you think it's actually acceptable to go out in public like this! shame on you...

Anyone who goes for the Addams Family on Halloween has my vote, and I love that Brooke Shields co-ordinated with her kids as she appeared as Uncle Fester complete with skull wig.

For Heidi Klum and her ex-huband Seal, Halloween was a MASSIVE deal and they never disappointed! Back in 2010 they arrived to a party as robots, with Klum in some giant stilts..

No really.. this is Heidi Klum! Possibly the most terrifying costume I have ever seen, the model was wheeled in on a hospital table. Ew! hats off to her.

Despite campaigning in New York for alcoholic drink Midori, the Kardashian kept with the green theme by dressing as Poison Ivy, complete with beautiful red wig. 
She may have been dating party pooper Kanye West, but she still managed to look pretty ethereal last year as a fabulous blonde mermaid. I think Mr West is meant to be a sailor?

Forget Skinny: The Curvaceous Celebs I Can't Get Enough Of

For women of all ages, the pressures to look skinny are ever present due to our obsession with the celebrity ideal, and our yearning to have the perfect body in order to be accepted in society. I know for a fact that I will never be stick thin and I often feel that the pressure young women are put under by the media is unnecessary and superficial. I am always really happy to come across those celebrities who stick their two fingers up to skinny and embrace their curves- I'm not talking about your Beyoncé's or your J-Lo's, I'm talking about the BIG curves. Here are some of my favourites. 


Kim Kardashian

It's no lie that many people have a love-hate relationship with reality television star Kim Kardashian, but no-one can deny her killer curves. Along with sister Khloé, the Kardashian is famous for her bootilicious body, and her confidence has always oozed through as it is clear she suits high fashion. Despite being criticised throughout her pregnancy as her body bloated naturally, Kim remained up-beat and gracious in public and after starting a post-baby work out regime she is looking as hot as ever. I love Kim! 


Iggy Azalea

Originally hailing from Australia, rapper and model Iggy Azalea relocated to the US in 2006 where she adopted the Southern way of life, living in Georgia and Texas.  Now 23, the gorgeous singer hit the big time after her 'Ignorant Art' mixtape and is currently touring America with Beyoncé. Her killer curves are the envy of many as she often dons elaborate, skin tight high fashion pieces in addition to working alongside major labels like House of Holland.

Whitney Thompson

Winner of America's Next Top Model, the lovely Whitney Thompson is definitely an inspiration of mine.  I interviewed her a few months ago and she also talked to the Daily Mail this month about the abuse she gets for her size. In the US, plus size begins at a mere 6 (size 10 in the UK) and the model told the national newspaper that she is often called a 'fat cow'. Ridiculous and totally gratuitous, it is such a shame that some people believe her figure is not wonderful! 


Nicki Minaj

Miss Minaj may not be to everyone's taste, but her beautiful figure is undeniable. I love her outlandish style, her loose mouth and her pride in her body. She openly talks about the pressures of being a female rapper in a male dominated industry and mentions her body shape throughout her music. 


Lydia Rose Bewley

She may be a little known actress at the moment, but Bewley's stunning looks and acting talent will definitely see her go far. For fans of The Inbetweeners Movie, you may recognise her as character Jane, Jay's love interest. Of a majority of the cast members, she is the only one with a fuller figure and I cannot wait to see her in the new e4 series Drifters.

Worst Celebrity Tattoos of 2013

Celebrities are human just like you and me, so very much prone to mistakes. But what happens when those mistakes are permanent ones etched on your skin? Here is my round up of this year's worst celeb tattoos. I'm sure there is an abundance I have missed out too!


10. Rita Ora

During New York fashion week Rita Ora and 'wifey' Cara Delevingne decided to celebrate by taking a trip to the local tattoo parlour (as you do). Ora got herself a HUGE vintage pin-up, said to be called Rosetta. 


9. David Beckham

We all love a bit of Becks but hasn't he got enough tattoos? Whilst in Beijing this year he revealed his gigantic body art that reads: 
"Life and death are determined by fate, rank and riches decreed by Heaven". Please Becks, whatever you do, don't ink your face (we love it too much). 


8. Alexandra Burke

Earlier in the year former X Factor contestant caused a few giggles when she posted this filtered Instagram picture of her new tattoo, with a majority of fans believing the art was spelt 'love and loyally' instead of 'loyalty'. The Burke set us all straight, but it's still a massive fail that the ink looks incorrect. 


7. Louis Tomlinson

When I initially saw the headline for this tattoo, it read "One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson shows off MASSIVE moose tattoo" HAHA! Is it a moose, is it a deer, or is it just a tribute to Jagermeister? either way, he's not horsing around. If he is trying to top band mate Harry Styles, he is definitely losing. 


6. Tulisa 

Chavstatic Queen Tulisa has had a rough year so far after being accused of organising a drugs deal worth over £800. Her true class shows however, in her tattoo, which reads "lucky you", conveniently positioned by her crotch. Perhaps its a joke.. a very permanent, joke.  


5. Leigh-Anne Pinnock

As much as I love Little Mix, I was NOT a fan of Pinnock's butterflies intertwined with musical notes tattoo. Cheesy and totally unoriginal, it's in the right place I suppose- right next to her just as unoriginal 'Believe' ink etched on her neck. 


4. Miley Cyrus

Oh Miley! Is there anything you did that was half acceptable this year? The tween star has a number of tattoos already but added to her ridiculous collection by getting the words "rolling stone" on the soles of her feet in celebration of her first Rolling Stone magazine cover. How sad. 


3. Rihanna 

Ow, ow, ow. Rihanna has had a couple of traditional tattoos done over recent years, including one hailing from Ancient Egypt, but this Maori one takes the biscuit. Marking her trip to New Zealand, the art was carried out using a chisel, mallet and ink pigment. I applaud her bravery but also grimace at her stupidity. 


2. Cara Delevingne 

And there was me thinking it was only inanimate objects that needed stamping with their place of origin! Model Cara Delevingne has confirmed her new love of tattoos this year by getting not one but FOUR pieces of art on her skin. The lion is pretty neat, but her foot stamp reading 'Made in England' is not. 


1. Cheryl Cole

Ta dah! the number one spot for worst tattooed celeb goes to the lovely Cheryl Cole for the abundance of roses that consume her backside. Enduring 35 hours of pain, who knew a cover-up could be THIS BIG. Company L’Oreal who use the singer to represent the brand weren't best pleased to see Chezza's new art work!

Liam Payne and the Case of the Stolen Boxers

For the lads of One Direction, touring is now old hat as they explore all corners of the globe. It seems that one bandmate however, is having a stressful time of it during their Take Me Home tour down under. 
Liam Payne tweeted during the weekend that his underpants had weirdly been stolen from his hotel balcony in Australia while he was sleeping. During the day before, it was reported that He and Louis Tomlinson had hit a beach in Sydney to go surfing and when he returned, hotel staff had later hung out his pants to dry. 
He said: 
"Strangest way I've ever been woken up, When ur in bed butt naked an sum1 is trying to force open your balcony this is gunna be a strange day,"
Later on, he emphasised his shame as he wrote: "Hmmm somebody stole my boxers I'm so embarrassed."
The crazed fans who committed the undergarment crime were extremely proud of themselves, a feeling that soon faded when the teenage pair were asked to give back the boxers. The dippy Directioners tweeted a picture of themselves with the pants, before following Payne to the beach. 1D security luckily recognised the girls and shamed them by forcing them to hand over the goods.

An onlooker said: "Security told them they had commited a crime and that the police would be called if they didn't give the trunks back. "

"The girls were really embarrassed and had to actually take them off to give them back. There was a huge crowd of fans watching and booing, which made the two girls cry."

How awkward.

Grow Up! Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus Ban Rebel Wilson from Criticising Them

Funny woman of the moment Rebel Wilson has revealed to have been kept on a tight lease recently as she revealed during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel that she was banned from making twerk jokes about Miley Cyrus and pop princess Britney Spears. 
                         
The 27-year old Australian actress expressed that both the singers' management teams insisted she make no jokes about either stars. She said:
"Their management got a copy of my jokes, what I was going to say, and then I was banned ... from saying the jokes."
Wilson said her jests were far from abusive and told the interview host her sentence about Cyrus was along the lines of

Perhaps some of these singers need to grow up and realise that their contraversial behaviour may mean they become the butt of the joke. I don't know about you, but I'm team Rebel! 
Rebel Wilson's new comedy show Super Fun Night airs on October 2nd, a set of programmes she not only created but writes and stars in.
