Best and Worst Dressed at the Elle Style Awards 2016

The Elle Style Awards kicked off tonight and all manor of celeb lovelies turned out to show us their style side. Let's take a look at the best and worst dressed looks of the night.

Best Dressed

Bella Hadid
Model Bella Hadid stunned in a black fringed piece with over-the-knee boots and slicked back hair. How does she make it look so effortless?!

Suki Waterhouse
Ethereal beauty Suki Waterhouse stepped onto the red carpet in her signature whimsical fashion, opting for a crisp white gown, delicately decorated with a subtle floral print. i think she's on to a style winner here.

 Neelam Gill
I LOVE Neelam Gill and she shows us how chic she can go with a back-detailed white maxi. Adding interest to the gown, a back split and string straps gave the dress a luxe edge and she finished her look with statement rouge and a messy up do. Perfection!

CharliXCX
Awe CharliXCX I love you! You might have been getting a tincy bit of stick for those interesting outfits at Fashion Week, but that's what I think makes you spesh. This minty green number is sure to have attracted the eye... I'm not too sure about those scalp plaits though, her hair would have looked better in classic Hollywood waves to reflect the decade of the dress.

Laura Whitmore
I'm not usually a fan of Miss Whitmore, especially as her recent stint in the public eye is due to a certain Mr DiCaprio, but nonetheless I think the presenter positively glowed as she made an entrance to the awards. Cols shoulder cuts and cute broiderie anglaise looked amazing on her.

Amber Le Bon
Bursting into bloom, head-to-toe florals suited Amber Le Bon down to the ground. That heavy fringe and fish-tail finish to the gown gave her an edgy look- I approve.

Paloma Faith
Never afraid to try something new out, Paloma Faith turned heads this evening with her new fringe. It was her part fluffy dress I loved however. Not only did it look snug in this cold whether, but the blue tones were positively iridescent. Enchanting!

Sam Rollinson
I love a good spotted dress and the effortlessly cool Sam Rollinson got it spot on. Subtle padded shoulders and a plunging neckline helped to transform the classic print into coveted evening wear.

Worst Dressed

Mollie King
Bleurgh! I don't like Molly King's dress sense at the best of times but this violet concoction is awful. The lace up detail looks like a tangled mess and her choice of lip colour just blends in with the rest of her bland ensemble.

Lottie Moss
I love Lottie Moss and thought she was really coming into her own fashion-wise, but this one is a fail for me. Metallic on metallic and a top-half that leaves little to the imagination? NOTY.

Lily Donaldson
Who wears a swimsuit under a sheer dress. I rest my case. What is this?!

Best and Worst Dressed at the GQ Awards 2013

Last night made way for the 2013 GQ Awards in London with all manner of celebrity folk turning out to celebrate this year's talented musicians, comedians, fashion icons and TV personalities. From  Michael Douglas to Tom Ford, the array of stars meant a wonderful variety of fashion. Here is my summary of the best and worst dressed of the night.

Best Dressed

Emma Watson

I love it when stars go edgy, and it seems Emma Watson went all Kristen Stewart on us and opted for a Balenciaga piece. The monochrome is bang on trend and I love how effective her minimal make-up is. She is definitely a natural beauty, love her.

Suki Waterhouse

Metallics are timeless as Bradley Cooper's girlfriend Suki Waterhouse demonstrated last night. The deep V plunge neckline made way for a striking silver belt and the floor-length cut makes it super sophisticated. Thumbs up!

Eddie Redmayne

Tartan is well and truly in this season and I was very excited when I saw Eddie Redmayne with this striking suit. Dapper is not the word! I also love the subtle checks of his skinny tie.

Rita Ora

Etro might be a lesser known label, but it definitely knows how to stand out on the red carpet. Rita Ora's floor length cut-out gown in yellow and jet looked fabulous on her, and I love how mesmerising the piece is. Stick on some spiral earrings and BAM, best look of the night.

Daisy Lowe

Wowzas, Daisy Lowe opted for some sexy Saint Laurent last night- a dress which didn't leave much to the imagination. Even though I think deep V's and side splits should be an either/or option, I loved the sheer sleeves, the way the gown complimented her complection and her brilliant use of reds in her rouge, shoes and nail polish.

Douglas Booth

I love a bit of velvet and was thrilled to see some navy on the red carpet last night. Douglas Booth looks suitably handsome and I am looking forward to seeing him play Romeo in the upcoming Shakespeare movie. Lose that facial hair though...

Jourdan Dunn

Woahh last night was definitely the night of plunging necklines as British model Jourdan Dunn dazzled in this cream embellished dress. Although the piece shows slightly too much chest for me, I love the long sleeves and the intricate design as well as her swept back hair- bang on trend.

Worst Dressed:

Alexa Chung

Someone clearly likes to wrap themselves in tin foil: Alexa Chung made a wrong move in this Carven piece which looks like it needs a good iron. Loving the rouge and Chanel clutch though.

Pixie Lott

No no no! I am really not a fan of Pixie Lott's pink and cream dress with rose netting. Her '60s quiff has been done too many times before i'm afraid.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

One word: boring. This white PVC Versace dress is just too simple. I know you are on a break from Jason Stratham, but can't you at least make a little bit of effort. Meowww

Miles Kane

The shade of cream really doesn't sit well with me, so seeing Miles Kane kitted out in this god-awful suit gave me the shivers. Take it offfff
               From cdni.condenast.co.uk

Ellie Goulding

A double whammy of frightful frocks here for Ellie Goulding as she seemed to take a fashion swerve from her usual sophisticated and striking looks. The feather piece on the left is especially awful. Pass me the sick bag.

Helen Lasichanh

Pharell William's wife might have embraced the monochrome look, but the bizarre crepe paper-inspired embellishments do nothing to the piece, I do love her over sized necklace though.

Sophie Dahl

D&G failed with this piece which has lace overkill written all over it. In what universe does a leopard skin clutch go with this outfit? Go home Sophie.
