Best and Worst Dressed at the Oscars 2015

Another year, more amazing gowns...

Best Dressed

Emma Stone
Amongst the 200 Oscars images I scoured through, Emma Stone's dress was my ultimate favourite. A trail of zesty lime green, the heavily embellished gown perfectly suited the actresses complexion.

Keira Knightley
Owning maternity style, the beautiful Keira Knightly stepped out in an exquisite Valentino piece of cascading nude tulle finished with subtle floral detailing.

Lady Gaga
Queen of pop Lady Gaga re-invented herself on the red carpet with a crisp white gown, princess-like in proportions. Always willing to make a statement, she finished the outfit with fiery red gloves.

Margot Robbie
We've been in love with her since her breakthrough role in Wolf of Wall Street, as Margot Robbie wore Saint Laurent with pride on Sunday night, accessorising the draped piece with intricate, tasseled jewellery.

Jennifer Lopez
Wowzers! Covered in cappuccino-coloured tulle, this Ellie Saab gown is stunning. Jennifer Lopez, what a great choice!

Rita Ora
I adore Rita Ora's style, and this silky midnight blue Marchesa gown is no exception. The fish tale element accentuated her figure and the dress was finished with pretty dustings of gold.

Sienna Miller
What a Queen. How AH-Mazing does Sienna Miller look in Oscar De La Renta? Those cheekbones.

Rosamund Pike
Opting for a fiery red, actress Rosamund Pike might have chosen to wear the same colour as the carpet, but she did far from blend in. I loved this piece and with a simple up do and subtle, strappy stilettos, all attention was on her gown.

Tegan Quin & Sara Quin
Proving that the red carpet isn't all about embellished frocks, Tegan and Sara got extra androgyny points for their masculine ensembles. Loving that slicked-back hair ladies!

How CUTE were Eddie Redmayne and Hannah Bagshawe? In matching midnight blue, I loved Bagshawe's feathered belt and skull details on her dress.

Cate Blanchett
On it's own, this dress may have been dull, but Blanchett cleverly teamed it with a chunky teal necklace. Exquisite.

Worst Dressed

Kelly Osbourne
Ugh. When is Kelly Osbourne going to stop making 'goth' happen? Her dress was unflattering and her pastel hair looks more Dot Cotton than Dolce & Gabbana.

Chloe Moretz
Oh lordy, Chloe Moretz looks as if she stepped out a period drama, but not in the good way. The faded florals are drab, and for such a skinny lady, the thick waist is unflattering.

Chrissy Teigen
Wow, I think All of Me hates this dress. Mrs Legend donned a rather been-there-done-that design in duck egg blue.

Naomi Watts
Miss Watts' meagre attempt to look edgy in Armani failed with the gown's bandeau-esque attachment underneath. Yuck!

Nicole Kidman
Although I love all things iridescent, Nicole Kidman's outfit fell flat for me - the red belt and chunky bag seemed out of place.

Karolina Kurkova
How dull can dusky pink get? Kurkova's choice was shapeless and lacked any character, a no-go for me.

Ethan Hawke and Ryan Hawke
Is it just me, or do these guys look super awks?!

Adam Levine & Behati Prinsloo
Does it look a little like i'm picking on couples here? Oh well.. Adam Levine didn't stop with his PDA's on the Oscars red carpet, and Behati's red embellished gown fell flat for me. The 'do did nothing to flatter her ears either..

Best and Worst Dressed at the Met Gala 2014

Best Dressed
Emma Stone
Oh la la I am loving the cute colours Emma Stone stepped out in for the Gala red carpet. Her petunia and powder pink two piece matched her pastel make-up and she teamed the outfit with a sparkling rouge clutch and metallic stilettos.

Kim Kardashian
Hollywood glamour at it's best here as newly weds Kim Kardashian and Kanye West stepped out last night in a wonder ensemble. Kim's satin sapphire gown with generous split complimented her curves and she finished it off with side-swept loose curls- perfection.

Dita Von Teese
The Queen of vintage wowed us on the red carpet in this Zac Posen creation. The gargantuan fishtail looked as if it melted into the red carpet and a matching ruby clutch and deep red lipstick finished off her look.

Rihanna
Accompanied by designer Stella Mc Cartney, Rihanna donned a rather conservative number. The white, low slung two piece came with elegant padded shoulders, a high, embellished neckline and a messy up-do suited the star.

Blake Lively
Actress Blake Lively is looking super glamourous in Gucci! Those killer curves ooze classic Hollywood high fashion and the simple but chic shade suits her perfectly.

Cara Delevingne
Breaking the mould is something Cara Delevingne loves to do, and she demonstrated that rebel inside, wearing a Stella Mc Cartney two piece to the gala. Teaming a black banded crop top with brilliant white cigarette trousers, she sure made a statement.

Leighton Meester
Leighton Meester wore my favourite look of the night in Emilio Pucci. The deep plunge of the neckline complimented the side split and I was in awe of the sheer detail of the embellishments.

Rosie Huntingdon- Whiteley
Gold, animal print and leather. I was wowed by this Balmain mini dress model and actress Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley wore. Complete with gladiator-inspired heels and some seriously chunky hoops, she looked bad.ass.

Joan Smalls
Thank god someone has thought outside the box and moved away from the safe lipstick shades. Joan Smalls' violet rouge MADE her outfit, with the nude bandeau top-half of her gown becoming vague and flowing towards the bottom, it hugged her figure in all the right places. Bravo!

Nicole Richie
Kelly Osbourne could learn a thing or two from this lady. I loved the contrast of her violet hair with her partially velvet grey gown.

Worst Dressed

Taylor Swift
I feel like pale pink can look incredibly insipid and I really wasn't a fan of this Oscar de la renta piece Taylor Swift wore. More high school prom than anything on the edge side.

Sarah Jessica Parker
There should be a rule that a designer shouldn't etch their signature on a gown, this Oscar de la renta creation is one such example.

Solange Knowles
I respect the fact that Solange is one to experiment with looks, but I can't help feeling this Philip Lim dress was oddly cut in a particularly unattractive carrot shade.

Zoe Saldana
Although Saldana did look amazing on the red carpet, I wasn't a fan of the bottom half of her gown. The paisley-esque design was formed in balloon-like ruffles that appeared rather frumpy.

Naomi Campbell
Drag-queen alert. I hated this white, cheap looking cut-out gown and feathers look a bit '70s to me. Naomi Campbell needed to take a leaf out of Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn's fashion book.

Lupita Nyong'o
Dare I criticise Lupita's style? Everyone seems to love her, she can do no wrong. I just don't see the fuss, and if I would have known looking like a cross between a flapper and a  dream catcher is high fashion, I would have done it sooner.

Lena Dunham
Award for the worst cut dress goes to Lena Dunham's at this years gala. This is just grotesque. The cut makes her legs look big and her chest look flat. So unflattering.
