Ahh Halloween, the one day of the year it is totally acceptable to dress as an absolute prat and eat too many sweets. Inspiration can be pretty hard when it comes to creating the most original costumes, but it seems like these celebrities have certainly given us some ideas of how, or how NOT to look..

Did you expect anything else from the lovely Miley Cyrus? this year she donned a pink wig and (only just) covered up her modesty in this Lil Kim tribute outfit.
Paris Hilton
Socialite Paris Hilton seemed to have taken her inspiration from fellow celeb Miley Cyrus as she donned the former Disney actress' controversial VMA outfit of a teddy bear leotard. I think 99% of us would give the costume a miss, and thank goodness she doesn't have that dodgy foam finger!
Kelly Brooke
Many of us have attempted to eat cake and dress to make Marie Antionette proud, but I'm not sure anyone can top Kelly Brook's hawt dress- complete with bloodied neck, I love this regal, yet cheeky outfit!

Oh sorry Mariah, you must have got the wrong end of the stick, this ISN'T a Victoria's Secret party and the scariest part of this costume is that you think it's actually acceptable to go out in public like this! shame on you...

Anyone who goes for the Addams Family on Halloween has my vote, and I love that Brooke Shields co-ordinated with her kids as she appeared as Uncle Fester complete with skull wig.

For Heidi Klum and her ex-huband Seal, Halloween was a MASSIVE deal and they never disappointed! Back in 2010 they arrived to a party as robots, with Klum in some giant stilts..
No really.. this is Heidi Klum! Possibly the most terrifying costume I have ever seen, the model was wheeled in on a hospital table. Ew! hats off to her.
These pair might be from Planet of the Apes, but they aren't monkeying around. How amazing is their co-ordinated primate outfit for a 2011 party??

Keeping up with the cuteness is Kim K in her red hiding hood outfit!
Despite campaigning in New York for alcoholic drink Midori, the Kardashian kept with the green theme by dressing as Poison Ivy, complete with beautiful red wig.
She may have been dating party pooper Kanye West, but she still managed to look pretty ethereal last year as a fabulous blonde mermaid. I think Mr West is meant to be a sailor?
